PRODUCT DETAILS
Inverleven is the name given to single malt whisky produced in two pot stills at the huge Dumbarton distillery complex in 1986, but owing to lack of demand from blenders for the make, it remains one of the rarest whiskies around due to production ceasing in 1993. This limited edition of just 211 bottles was release from Gordon & MacPhail's famous 'Rare Old' series. The tasting notes describe a whisky rich with tropical fruit flavours, pineapple coconut and fresh lime, followed by cream soda notes. They go on to talk of sweet red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) and tangerine, with a white chocolate and cinnamon finish. An extremely rare whisky from one of Scotland's silent stills.
