Mannochmore 'Gordon & MacPhail' 2003 / 2019 56.8%

Rarely bottled as a single malt due to its prized use in blended whiskies, this Mannochmore from Gordon & MacPhail's latest single cask releases was selected from a single first-fill ex-sherry Hogshead. After 15 years of maturation, this whisky has an intense aroma of rich fruitcake (glace fruits, raisins, sultanas) and stewed red fruits, with vanilla and crisp apple. The palate is very toffee'd and thick, with dark chocolate fondue (orange slices) warmed with mace, pepper and cinnamon spices. Bottled at a natural cask strenghth of 56.8%
