Using a method that was traditionally used in the Lowland's of Scotland and in Ireland, this new Benromach has been triple distilled. It starts very aromatic - the whisky has a bright, sweet scent of strawberries, candied lime zest and other citrus notes, with a background of biscuity malt and grassy aromas (straw). To taste, the mouthfeel is oily and full, carrying similar flavours to the nose, adding malt-chocolate drink (Ovaltine or Milo) and the distillery's signature whisp of peat smoke and peppery oak.
