This new Benromach release was made from heavily peated Scottish barley spirit that was matured exclusively in first-fill sherry Hogshead casks.The flavour is a rich and intense mixture of cured meats, macerated dried fruits and malty peat smoke, with touches of malted-chocolate (Maltesers, digestive biscuits) and white pepper. As is typical for Benromach, this is a very balanced dram, with all of the different flavours and aromas coming together harmoniously - an absolutely cracking new expression from one of Scotland's smallest distillery's.
