Ardnamurchan Spirit 2019 AD 57.4%

The highly anticipated 2019 release of the Ardnamurchan distillery's 'AD' series has arrived, selected from a medley of peated and unpeated spirit, all matured in a variety of cask sizes, all ex-sherry. The aromas and flavours sing of creme caramel, cut with candied orange and manuka honey, moving to a fruity note of mango and an edge of rock salt. Maple-cured smoky bacon flavours and scents drift to a distinctive note of extinguished peat kilns. Another very impressive glimpse into the continuing story at Ardnamurchan - perhaps we will finally see a single malt whisky in the next year or two.
