Batch No. 155 is the latest edition in Wolfburn's small-batch releases, this time coming from whisky matured for 4 years in ex-bourbon barrels before a final maturation in fresh ex-Port hogsheads. A soft, heathery floral tone rises out of the glass on first sniff, joined by fruity Port cask flavours of home-made jams. The palate has a vinous quality to it, with ginger and oak, leading to a caramel and dried fruit aftertaste.
