The Brackla distillery is one of the few distilleries in Scotland entitled to use the 'Royal' prefix after a Royal Warrant was given to the distillery in 1833 by King William IV. As is fitting for the King's own whisky, this is a mellow Highland malt with flavours of baked apple with a hint of brown sugar and spice, vanilla sponge and a very subtle touch of peated-malt smoke.
