One of Scotland's most treasured distilleries, Lagavulin, celebrates their 200th anniversary this year, after its founding in 1816 by John Johnston. This limited edition 8 year old whisky is a celebration of the distilleries history, craft and the people who have worked for 2 centuries to make this whisky. This is a classic Lagavulin with a fragrant, drying peat smoke aroma laced with maratime character. Notes of milk chocolate and hints of citrus fruit come through on the palate, before a tea-scented smoke returns leaving the mouth dry, sooty and salty. A fitting dram to celebrate a remarkable bicentennary.
