This special release of Arran harks back to the days of illicit distilling on the Island. Initially matured in American oak casks it has spent the last period of maturation in small smuggler friendly quarter casks. Coupled with Arran's signiture fruitiness, the hallmarks of american oak influence are apparent in this expression. Vanilla, honey, and sweet spiciness appear on the palate. Bottled at cask strength, this dram is a rare treat.
