Islay mist was created on Islay way back in 1922 to offer guests at Lord Margadales birthday celebrations something a little softer than what the island's distilleries were producing. They came up with a blend of Islay and Speyside malts along with some Scottish grain whisky. Islay Mist's 'Peated Reserve' is a new edition to the line up that leans more towards the peaty side with characteristics of bonfire smoke, rich golden syrup and some fruit flavours emerging behind the salty, medicinal, peaty, smoke qualities.
