One of the second batch of whiskies in the 'Infrequent Flyers' series, a brand new independent bottling company from Alistair Walker, this Glen Elgin has matured for 13 years in a single hogshead.
Glen Elgin Distillery is little known and rarely seen as a standard bottling, but is reknowned amongst distillers and blenders. The distillery is known for the compexity of its make, enhanced by a long fermentation, slow distillation, and by the use of wormtubs. Typically fruity, and spicy notes predominate, often with a herbal edge.
Only 249 bottles were released.
