Distilled at the now defunct Dumbarton distillery in West Dumbartonshire, this single cask single grain has been bottled as part of Hunter Laing's 'Sovereign' series after 31 long years maturing in a single Bourbon barrel. It boasts rich, marshmallowy aromas, with hints of vanilla and decadent caramel. Candied orange to the fore on the palate with toasted cereal and oaky notes on what is a lush, full-bodied palate. A long sweet and satisfying finish with a slightly drying oak note. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 43.5%, this is just one of 186 available worldwide.
