The Glenburgie distillery is located just outside of Alves in Speyside, and it is uncommon to see bottled as a single malt, with the majority of its production going to the Ballantines blend. This new bottling was selected by the Single Malts of Scotland label, matured for two decades and bottled at cask strength. Fruity, lively and zippy with sweet notes of plum, tangerine and freshly cut grass, a note of lemon cheesecake carries through to the palate. The taste of again bright fruit and citrus flavours shifts to woody (pine) and rye bread spice, lingering with a note of hops, apple cider and a refreshing dryness.
