This is the third batch of the cask strength 10 year old whisky GlenAllachie, which has been among the most popular new releases from Scotland in 2019. Selected by master distiller Billy Walker from a combination of casks 1st and 2nd fill Bourbon, PX Puncheon, Oloroso Hogshead and Virgin Oak casks that were all at least 10 years old, it carries the signature style: dark chocolate, plump white and black raisins, treacle and heather honey There is a delicate eucalyptus note in the finish, which ends on sweet spice and orange peel.
