Crofts is one of the most long-established port shipping houses in the business, records go back as far as 1588. This fine vintage port comes from the famous Qunito da Ro?da vineyard, which has produced some very fine vintages over the years. In recent times the winery has reintroduced some of the old traditional methods of production including the use of the treading of grapes on site. Tawny ports, similarly to whisky are matured to the full extent in order to be ready to drink immediately, this process also makes them able to be kept open for longer, making them perfect for dipping into on special occasions.
