Workshops Whisky Inaugural Release 500ml 46%

The inaugural release from Christchurch based Workshops Whisky has been lovingly made by father and son duo, Doug and Anthony Lawry. For their first distillery release they have chosen a single virgin French oak barrel which has yielded just 470 bottles. Fresh and fragrant on the nose with notes of fruit salad, pear, rich cherry and just a hint of eucalyptus. The palate is robust and wood forward before developing rich fruity notes, not unlike that of an apple turnover. Barely water and raisins progress through to the finish. An intriguing first release from this quirky Christchurch distillery.
