Cambus 'Sovereign' 1988 / 30 years old 51.9%

This expression of Cambus was bottled from a refill hogshead which yeilded only 279 bottles. The nose is delicate, featuring blueberries, toffee, vanilla, and menthol. The palate is somewhat richer with cranachan (a Scottish desert of fresh berries, cream, toasted oats, and whisky), red grapes, caramel, and moss. The finish is long and spicy.
