Adelphi's E&K is the spiritual successor to their previous Scottish-Indian fusion whisky, The Kincardine. Produced from a marraige of two famed single malts from Scotland, Ardmore and Glenrothes, and 2 casks from the Amrut distillery in Bangalore, India. The nose is immediately Amrut influenced, with tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, papaya) along with scented sandalwood. With a little water added, the sweet, sooty smoky elements and dark fruit, chocolate and highland toffee flavours show its Scottish side. The finish lingers on, distantly peaty, exoticly spiced and fruity - a genuine fusion of flavours from two very different parts of the world.
