This new single cask bottling from Adelphi comes from the little-known Glen Keith distillery in Speyside. After maturing in a refill ex-Bourbon barrel for 23 years, there are flavours of Madeira sponge fingers, custard creams, star anise and cloves, developing into white pepper, oat bars and liquorice. A bit of a hidden gem, Glen Keith's whisky rewards a bit of exploration and time, and at 60.5% a bit of water can help draw out the more subtle flavours to be found.
