Benromach 35 years old 43%

We are extremely excited to have this Benromach on the shelves at Whisky Galore. Matured in first fill Sherry casks, this limited expression was distilled prior to the distillery's closure in 1983. It has a wonderfully complex nose that offers rich sherry influences along with orange marmalade, kiwi and grapefruit aromas, complemented by cinnamon spice. There are fruity characteristics on the palate also, notably raisin and zesty orange peel flavours, some chocolate notes too, all heightened by a delicate edge of charred oak, the result of over three decades of maturation.
